How do I fix something with too much salt?

Too salty?

User submitted cooking tip: If the food you are cooking comes out too salty, add a little lemon zest. It will help balance out the flavor.

Am a little confused by this tip. Thought lemon joice added a salty flavor since it is often used in place of salt for folks on a low sodium diet.

i made guacamole, and accidentally made it way to salty.
we actually forgot to add lime, but did have lemon juice... it worked perfectly!
