Tip of the Week

Good Morning Everyone!

What a great way to start off September. The air is a bit chilly here in Jersey this morning. It lended me to want a hot breakfast instead of a quick bowl of cereal. The girls and I agreed on some cream of wheat. I just wanted to share a few things you can do with your cream of wheat if you happen to want a hot breakfast like we did.

First, make the cream of wheat with milk instead of water. It makes the hot breakfast creamier.

Second, Squeeze a swirl of maple syrup in your cream of wheat. Most likely, you have some on hand, and it tastes great.

Third, sprinkle on some brown sugar. You can actually buy cream of wheat with brown sugar in it, but it tastes better if you do it yourself.

Finally, my youngest loves to cover the top of her cream of wheat with banana slices. I make the slices thin, but you could just cut the slices in to quarters so that they fit easily on your spoon.

Have a good day,

Alicia
