March 19, 2010, Newsletter Issue #456: Removing Melted Plastic From Your Glass Cooktop

Tip of the Week

It happens. You place your bag of bread on the stove before it has completely cooled and the next thing you know the plastic has melted on to the stove top.  All you have to do is spray some WD-40 on the melted plastic and let it sit for at least 15 minutes. Then scrape the plastic off carefully with a knife. If you have any plastic remaining, use acetone nail polish remover. Wipe off with a paper towel. Your cooktop is now free of plastic.
