Crockpot Stuffed Peppers

6 green bell peppers
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup frozen corn, thawed
1 onion, chopped
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 egg
1 slice white bread
1 can stewed tomatoes

Combine ground beef, corn, onion, salt, pepper and egg in a large mixing bowl. Tear bread into small pieces and add to beef mixture. Clean and remove seeds and white membrane from green peppers. Stuff peppers with the beef mixture. Place peppers into crockpot and pour tomatoes, undrained, over meat. Cook on low for 8 hours. Serve with buttered rice.
