Watch for sales on meat when bought in larger quantities. Separate into family serving sizes, put in freezer bags, then freeze.

Great idea that I've been using off-and-on for years. Also look for "manager special" meats (those that are getting near the 'sell by' date) as these freeze great and usually can be bought for a fraction of the original price.
