Cook Chicken To Safe TemperaturesCook chicken to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Use an internal thermometer to check the temperature of the innermost part of the thigh and the wing as well as the thickest part of the chicken breast. If preferred, chicken can be cooked to higher temperatures. However, it is not safe to eat raw or partially raw poultry in any instance.Comments11/17/2008 5:37:14 PMken said: Hi Every time my wife cooks the chicken to an internal temp. of 165 the chicken is tough. If we cook it a little less like 145 it tastes great. So what is the answer. ken
