January 15, 2010, Newsletter Issue #448: Jazz Up That Popcorn

Tip of the Week

My girls and I got ready to watch the Dancing with the Stars premiere last night and thought a bowl of popcorn would be appropriate. It was a store brand and didn't have much flavor. We decided to jazz it up by melting half a stick of butter and adding a teaspoon of garlic powder. We stirred up the two ingredients and poured it over the popcorn. Then we sprinkled some salt on top. It was delicious. The next time you find your popcorn to be too bland, jazz it up. You can use onion powder or even cheese that has been ground in to a powder. Try drizzling some caramel over the popcorn or throw in some peanuts.
