Make your own bacon bits by slicing bacon into 1/2 inch pieces before frying. When bacon is done, remove with a slotted spoon onto paper toweling to drain. Store extras in an air-tight dish in the refrigerator. To recrisp - Put a paper towel on a microwave safe dish. Spread bacon pieces out and then cover with another paper towel to prevent splattering. Microwave for about 1 minute.
